Student Opportunities

NM-INBRE strives to provide various research opportunities not just for faculty but for associated students as well. Two major programs available for students include: the New Mexico Summer Experience (NISE), and Undergraduate Pipeline Network (UPN). both programs are hosted at research intensive universities within the INBRE network. They both offer paid research internships for undergraduate and graduate students. 

NISE

an 8-week full-time summer research experience for undergraduates, featuring four different programs. NISE-Prep, NISE-Bootcamp, NISE-Internship and NISE-Bioinformatics 

UPN

The UPN program seeks to cultivate student interest in research while helping them develop the skills needed to apply for and succeed in post-baccalaureate education.
