How to Prepare Your NIH Progress Report (RPPR)

April 22 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) can seem intimidating, but it is a relatively straightforward process if you’re prepared. The RPPR is used by the awardee to officially communicate how the project is going, to inform your program officer of any significant problems, to let them know your plans for the coming year, and to tell them if you are doing anything different than originally planned. It is also where you can show off some of your new data!

What is critical to understand is that the RPPR submission is a collaborative endeavor between the institution and the PI, each with distinct responsibilities for the report and some shared elements. This webinar will walk you through the steps to prepare your RPPR and hopefully make the process relatively painless. This presentation is intended for faculty and staff and is appropriate for both awardees of multiyear grants and those who hope to receive such an award in the future.

You will learn:

•  PI responsibilities for the RPPR
•  Institutional responsibilities for the RPPR
•  Common Areas of Noncompliance and How to Avoid Them
•  Which Components Typically Require Most of Your Attention
