Savannah Padilla, a previous NM-INBRE internship awardee, started as a mentee with Dr. Sebastian Medina in the fall of 2020; Savannah is currently in her last semester at New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) and will be graduating this May with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. As she was entering her sophomore year, she came to the decision of pursuing a biology degree.
